This is the Navarro Pedal Car built for the Petersen Automotive Museum for the 80th Anniversary of the Deuce. The car will be displayed at the Grand National Roadster Show and at the Petersen Automotive Museum until Deuce Week February 29th - March 3rd 2012. We started with the concept of transforming the 1932 into a Navarro Lakester tribute car (which is located at the NHRA Museum). It began by cutting the louvers out of the hood and welded them on the sides of the hood and welding a blister on the hood to match Barney Navarro's car. The wheels were drilled to make it match the 5 lug bolt pattern. We hand formed the belly pan and made custom exhaust pipes, a roll bar, side steering arm, radius rods, rear bumper and even a gas cap. On the inside of the pedal car I wanted it to retain its functionality so my kid can use it. I used made custom Moon pedals, dropped the steering column 2" and made a tan seat pad just like the old days. The finishing touches were added including the perfect paint, tonneau cover and Navarro decals the car came out great. It is built for a great cause all the proceeds with go the the Petersen Foundation for children's education.
